My favorite thing about FAMU is that everybody wants to see you succeed. There are so many job opportunities and social mixers that you are bound to have a plan once you graduate from the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
I think students should just be aware that if you need administration for something, you need to be persistent. Go in person if you can because if you call you will probably be on hold for a long time.
The culture at FAMU is what I like most. As an African American student, I feel at home.
You should be prepared to really work hard, nothing will come easy. Additionally, being a rattler will leave you with family everywhere.
FAMU is a very family-oriented campus, you're guaranteed to have an amazing experience whether you're a party person or a stay in person. There are so many people to meet and events to enjoy and just about any type of environment for all personality types.
Be careful what professors you take for certain classes.
This school is amazing, the culture the academic catalog is very long and they provide everything I need.
I don't like how much walking I have to do. It is a lot.
FAMU would most definitely make you more of a social person!
I do not like the city that much...
Love an HBCU from infinity to infinity. Highly recommend it to my black graduating high school seniors.
The financial aid office can be a little slow but after the first year semester, it should run smoothly.
