It’s no secret that student loans can feel intimidating. With more than one million student loans going into default every year, it can feel like there is no feasible way to pay for school.
To help students take control of their finances, we’ve partnered with Stride Funding to create this exclusive scholarship opportunity.
Stride Funding offers a unique, flexible alternative to typical student loans. With an Income Share Agreement (ISA) with Stride Funding, payments are proportional to income, keeping payments manageable regardless of earnings.
Stride Funding also allows borrowers to not pay anything during months in which their earnings are under the minimum income threshold. Stride Funding’s payment cap also ensures that borrowers don’t pay more than twice what they originally borrowed.
Students who are within two years of receiving a degree in STEM, healthcare, or business programs may apply for this scholarship.
While this scholarship will be announced on July 1, 2022, it will also have rolling monthly application deadlines. Students who apply within earlier application windows will have a greater chance of winning the award!
The application deadline is Sep 30, 2021. Winners will be announced on Jul 1, 2022.
The scholarship award is $1,000.
The winner will be publicly announced on Jul 1, 2022. Prior to the announcement date, we may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
We will send the award check to the winner’s academic institution in their name, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school’s requirements).
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to verify their academic enrollment status by providing a copy of their most recent transcript.
