This scholarship is for students who recognize the value of a strong community, and are always on the lookout for ways to help their friends and strengthen their community.It will be awarded to a student who has invited many friends to join Bold.org.
To invite a friend, visit your Invite Friends page on the Bold.org dashboard to copy your unique invite code and text it to your friends. For each friend who creates a profile, your chances of winning the Community Scholarship go up.
It will also favor students who apply earlier—who are bold and seize the day without procrastinating.
While the scholarship will be awarded on Nov 19, 2021, the scholarship will have rolling monthly application deadlines. Students applying within earlier application windows will have a greater chance of winning the award.
Students at any education level, school, field of study, and GPA will be considered.
The application deadline is Jun 30, 2021. Winners will be announced on Nov 19, 2021.
The scholarship award is $5,000. It will be awarded to 1 winner every year.
The winner will be publicly announced on Nov 19, 2021. Prior to the announcement date, we may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
We will send the award check to the financial aid office of the winner’s academic institution or future academic institution in their name, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school’s requirements). If the student's academic institution does not have a financial aid office, the student will receive the funding directly.
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to verify their academic enrollment status by providing a copy of their most recent transcript.
