By fostering strong relationships among colleagues, we can harness collective intelligence, share best practices, and tackle challenges more effectively. Leave A Legacy Always Scholarship
About myself, I am a first-generation college student who is in their freshmen year. I go to Eastern Washington University and I am pursuing a career in Business in Human Resources. I chose this path because it all goes back to when I was in Girl Scouts. I always wanted to help people in some way, just to make their day a little better. As I got older, I realized that a career in Human Resources was what I wanted to do. Because I can help people get jobs and I can help the company that I work in have a better work environment.
Receiving this scholarship would be instrumental in helping me achieve my goal of earning a bachelor's degree in Business with a specialization in Human Resources. As the cost of attending public universities continues to escalate, it has become increasingly challenging for me to manage tuition expenses. My family’s financial situation is quite constrained, and affording higher education without assistance poses a significant burden on us.
This scholarship would not only alleviate some of the financial pressure but also allow me to focus more on my studies and extracurricular activities that enhance my educational experience. By easing the financial strain, I would be able to fully immerse myself in my courses and seek out internship opportunities that are crucial for my professional development. Ultimately, this scholarship represents a vital opportunity for me to pursue my academic ambitions and lay a solid foundation for my future career in Human Resources.
My long-term goals include completing my college education and earning a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources. I am eager to dive into my career as soon as possible, and I believe that securing an internship during my studies will be instrumental in achieving this. This hands-on experience will not only enhance my knowledge but also allow me to develop practical skills and build a professional network that will support my dream of becoming a skilled HR professional. Ultimately, I aspire to contribute positively to an organization by fostering a healthy workplace culture and supporting employee development.

Walking In Authority International Ministry Scholarship
What inspires me is the desire to create positive change within my community. I am driven by the vision of making a tangible difference, not only for myself but for everyone around me. Witnessing the collective effort of my neighbors and friends, and seeing the fruits of our labor, fuels my passion for community improvement.
One pivotal moment that sparked my involvement was during my thirteen years as a Girl Scout. I took on the challenge of revitalizing the neglected garden area on our Girl Scout property. The site featured old planter boxes that had fallen into disrepair, which presented an opportunity for me to take action. I rolled up my sleeves, gathered supplies, and set to work restoring those boxes.
I engaged my fellow Girl Scouts, encouraging them to join me in this project. Together, we not only rebuilt the planter boxes but also designed and planted a vibrant community garden. It became a space where girls could learn about gardening, teamwork, and the importance of nurturing our environment. This experience deepened my connection to my community and reinforced my commitment to fostering growth—both in plants and in the bonds we share.
I dedicated thirteen years of my life to Girl Scouts, where I engaged in a variety of meaningful activities aimed at benefiting my community. Throughout my time there, I volunteered for projects that included organizing trash clean-ups in local parks, assisting with the replanting of young trees to promote environmental sustainability, and participating in various fundraising initiatives to support our troop and charitable causes.
During high school, I became an active member of both Key Club International and the National Honor Society. In these organizations, I took part in numerous fundraising campaigns and community service projects, which allowed me to further develop my leadership skills and commitment to service. These experiences enriched my understanding of the importance of giving back to the community.
In my senior year, I focused on completing my Gold Award project, a significant achievement comparable to the Eagle Award in Boy Scouts. My project revolved around the theme of promoting healthy eating within the community by growing fresh produce. I began my project during early spring by rebuilding planter boxes at a local site, ensuring they were suitable for planting. I carefully selected a variety of fruits and vegetables to cultivate, and once they were ready for harvest, I donated the fresh produce to my community church and the Bremerton Food Line. This initiative not only provided nutritious food to those in need but also raised awareness about the importance of healthy eating and sustainable gardening practices.
Thank you for taking the time to read my essay. I look forward to hearing back from you.

I haven’t experienced any physical weakness, but I have faced emotional weakness. For a long time, I struggled to set boundaries with friends and classmates. Without those boundaries, I often felt irritated or emotionally drained by their presence.
It wasn’t until I entered high school that I began to learn how to establish boundaries. Most of the people I talked to about this were very understanding and even shared their boundaries with me. However, a few friends who were upset by my boundaries chose to stop talking to me or ignored me. At the time, this didn't help my mental state, but it did reveal that establishing boundaries can show people's true colors when confronted with them.

Boyd J. Cameron Memorial Scholarship
Dear Cameron,
I am submitting my application for the Boyd J. Cameron Memorial Scholarship which I
found would be beneficial for students who are majoring in business. I recently graduated
from Bremerton High School and am enrolled at Eastern Washington University for a
bachelor's degree. I am majoring in business for a Human Resources degree.
Why do I want to pursue a business degree? The reason for that is the type of business I
want to enter is human resources. I want to pursue this career because I love helping
people. I have helped people to the best of my abilities growing up. I was a part of The Girl
Scouts Organization for thirteen years. During that time, I have helped with the environment
and people. Another reason why I want to have a career in Human Resources is that we
need more people in that field right now. Aside from some TV shows showing a bad
representation of how Human Resources work. Which always made me curious as to how
they worked when I was younger.
Now that I am in college, I am another step closer to my dream career. So that I can help
people get a better life by getting a job. Helping people get a better life is very fulfilling to me
because it makes me feel that I did a good job at directing someone in the right direction.
How do I plan to make a positive impact? Once I get my dream career in Human Resources,
I want to work with a company that helps veterans who need to get regular jobs after
leaving the military. Around 98 percent of veterans have experienced homelessness at some point after they got out of the military. I have met a veteran who can’t get a job because of his disability. he received it during his time in the military. After hearing about these people having to go and protect our country just to end up homeless once they get out because of some type of disability or they don’t have a normal work experience like most people have on their resume.
Conclusion, I am majoring in business for a Human Resources degree so I can help veterans get jobs after the military. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read and consider my letter for this
scholarship. I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
McKenzie
Fall Favs: A Starbucks Stan Scholarship
A Starbucks drink that I always order during the autumn season, is the Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Ever since I was a little girl. My mom would commonly take me to Starbucks before we go to Girl Scouts and get me a Chocolate Chip frapuccino. But one day, when my mom took me to Starbucks I wanted to try something different and try a warm drink. The Pumpkin Spice Latte caught my eye and I asked my mom to purchase one for me.
She bought it for me and I savored the last drop of it. I now drink it on very cold days when I'm off doing an errand for my family, when I'm on my way to school, or when I'm heading to a Girl Scout meeting. Every time I get this drink I become more energetic and more focused on getting stuff done. I especially like getting it during October. The latte tastes better during the Halloween season, in my opinion.
Whenever I feel stress from a lot of homework, studying for upcoming tests and quizzes, and or I'm just stressed from girl scouts. I go get myself a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I would feel better instantly from just the smell of the drink and I would have a better attitude for the rest of the day. I find that I'm extra productive with my work when I get a Starbucks drink that would help me stay awake and focused on my work. But I sometimes get it to treat myself when I'm starting the day.
Even if I have nothing to do for the day or when I go out with some friends and have an all day event, spice latte is my go to drink. I sometimes get a Pumpkin spice latte with my mom when we want to have a mother and daughter day. Ever since I got this latte I have always had a better attitude towards the day than any other day. I even see myself being more productive throughout the day whenever I have this drink.
This beverage has even helped me get through something that I ever thought a drink would do. I am extremely grateful to my mom who got me that drink that day, otherwise I would probably stick with my Chocolate Chip frapuccino for more years to come. Before I wanted to try out the Pumpkin Spice Latte. I express my appreciation to my mom for allowing me to explore new flavors.
Sustainable Business Scholarship
It's so that way we can reuse it over and over again. Like a YouTube Video, for example, they are sustainable because they will be on there for everyone to see for many years. A great way to make your business practices Eco-friendly is to use renewable energy. Another way is to find and choose sustainable suppliers. The last idea to make a business practice Eco-friendly is to measure the company's carbon footprint. Thanks to modern technology and people around the world that are trying to use less carbon for our planet. There are more than 3 ways for business practices to use that are Eco-friendly.
Renewable energy is an energy source that is not depleted when being used, such as wind and solar power. You can install solar panels and have your business running on solar power. Another way to be more Eco-friendly is to find sustainable suppliers that can support an Eco-friendly business. That way it brings in more customers for your business. The most important thing of all to make sure your business is on the right track of being an Eco-friendly business. Is to keep track of your company's carbon footprint. Keeping track of your carbon footprint will help you to figure out what actions you need to take to make it Eco-friendly.
When it comes to establishing and maintaining an Eco-friendly business, it is of utmost importance to carefully evaluate and incorporate three key factors. These factors play a critical role in ensuring that a company can effectively operate as an environmentally conscious entity. Failing to acknowledge and address these factors can pose significant challenges, making it an arduous task for any organization to truly embrace Eco-friendly practices.
The first vital aspect to consider is embracing sustainable practices. This entails proactive measures to reduce the overall environmental impact of the business operations. By implementing renewable energy sources, optimizing resources consumption, and minimizing waste generation, a company can significantly contribute to preserving the planet's natural resources. Furthermore, implementing sustainable supply chain management strategies, such as sourcing raw materials from Eco-friendly suppliers or encouraging local sourcing, can further enhance the Eco-friendliness of the business.
Another essential factor is fostering a culture of environmental awareness and responsibility among employees. This involves incorporating comprehensive training programs to educate employees about sustainable practices and the significance of their individual contribution towards the company's Eco-friendly goals, By instilling a sense of responsibility and providing the necessary tools and resources to support environmentally conscious decision-making, employees can actively participate in the company's sustainability efforts.
Minecraft Forever Fan Scholarship
I have been playing Minecraft consistently since its initial release back in 2016.
My passion has always been to wander the world, embarking on exciting adventures to discover new things and collect valuable items. The thrill reaches new heights whenever new elements are introduced into the game. Whenever I start a new world, I make sure to explore extensively before settling down, making it a point to visit every biome, gather a vast assortment of items, and defeat all the boss mobs such as the Ender dragon, the Wither, and many more
The Reason why I enjoy doing this activity so much is because it allows me to explore various fascinating biomes. I particularly enjoy stumbling upon rare biomes situated close to each other, as it creates a visually appealing contrast. Another reason why I like doing this, is so I get experience and see all the non-hostile mobs. My favorite aspect of playing Minecraft is finding cool new mobs that the developers have made, and see what they can do to help out the player(s).
I love this game very much because I aspire to have this much creativity when it comes to developing games. They make it fun and easy to play.
Netflix and Scholarships!
I have developed a profound fondness for the Netflix film Enola Holmes. From the moment I first witnessed its captivating storyline, I was immediately enchanted. The film's captivating scenes, intricate backgrounds, exhilarating adventure, compelling mystery, riveting adventure, and subtle undertones of romance have all contributed to my unwavering adoration. Additionally, the soul-stirring music incorporated throughout the film adds an extra layer of emotive resonance.
The plot of the story is what grabbed my attention in the movie. Additionally, I particularly enjoyed the abundance of puzzles showcased throughout. I found it fascinating when Enola outsmarted her older brother in identifying the murderer, as well as her daring escape from a restrictive all-girls school that aimed to mold her into a conventional young lady. Furthermore, I admired how her mother not only taught her combat skills but also imparted knowledge of reading and science, breaking the gender stereotypes traditionally associated with men.
Set in 1884, the movie portrays Enola as an oddball or an outsider amidst the societal norms of that era, known for industrial advancements. However, when her mother goes missing at the start of the film, Enola's elder brother steps in to look after her, as their father had passed away some time ago. Her elder brother lacked interest in her behavior, believing she should conform to the expectations of a well-mannered lady rather than being seen as peculiar.
In contrast, Sherlock Holmes, the other brother, showed friendliness towards her. However, her older brother aimed to enroll her in an all-girl school to instill proper ladylike behavior. This decision greatly upset Enola, prompting her to embark on a search for her mother, mirroring her mother's disappearance. This journey would forever imprint her mother's memory in her mind. As Enola vanished from the house, her older brother dispatched Sherlock Holmes, the skilled expert in locating individuals, to find her.
I recently discovered that there is a book series based on the movie, and I am eager to obtain the books as the movie is my absolute favorite. However, I haven't had the chance to watch the second movie yet, but I do intend to do so in the future. I am eagerly anticipating the release of the remaining Enola Holmes movie.
If you enjoy watching movies set in the 1800s that are full of mystery, action, adventure, puzzles, and a touch of romance, then this is the perfect film for you. However, if these aspects don't appeal to you, I still recommend giving it a chance as you might find it surprisingly enjoyable.
AHS Scholarship
My dream is to help as many people as possible. Being able to go to college would give me a higher education that would put me in a higher education.
I'm not fully sure what career I want to go into yet, but I know that I want to help as many people as possible.
I want to help change people's lives while at the same time, I want to have a job that love.
My goals are to go to college for 4 years and get my bachelor's degree. I still haven't decided on what I want to be yet. But I want to go into either culinary arts, business, or Forensic science. The steps that I would need to get to one of these three careers are through hard work, dedication, internships, and taking classes in college that would help me get into one of those careers. As well as talk to my professors about these careers and where to start with them. Even talked to people who have worked in those fields to get an idea of what I'm getting into and where to start my processes of getting into those fields.
The reason that I would want to go into one of these careers is that I've always had an interest in working in these fields. Especially behind all the science that goes into it.
I know that I would take criminology to do forensic science. I would take culinary arts classes to get my culinary arts degree. For business, I am still in the debate on what kind of business I want to do, but I think I'll go into accounting for that business degree. Though I wouldn’t mind doing any other classes that would help get me my business degree.
Other than those three things that I’m interested in going into, nothing else catches my interest. I also would like some help and or insight from friends and family, to get me on the right track to what I want to do in life.
College is a big stepping stone to achieve but will give you more options for better careers, so that is why I want to go to college and get a better career path.
At the moment my goals are to get as many scholarships as possible and get my gold award.
College is not cheap so that is why I am working on getting as many scholarships as possible as well as working on saving some money for college.
In Girl Scouts, a Gold Award is the equivalent of an Eagle Award. The gold award is the highest award you can get as a Girl Scout.
These are my long-term goals, my other goals are some small ones that I’m almost done with or they will be done by the next hour or so.
