We're a small university, with big opportunities located in Wilkes-Barre, Northeastern Pennsylvania, about a 2 hour ride from New York City and Philadelphia. We have about 2,500 undergraduate students on campus, so classmates know each other, and their professors, by name. Founded in 1933, Wilkes University is a private, co-ed, comprehensive institution. We offer a mix of professional and liberal arts programs, and students can choose from numerous majors and minors across six different schools and colleges. In addition, Wilkes offers master's degree programs and doctoral/terminal degree programs including the doctor of nursing practice, doctor of education, doctor of pharmacy, doctor of philosophy in nursing and master of fine arts in creative writing.
