Whittier College is a residential four-year liberal arts institution that prepares students from diverse backgrounds to excel in a complex global society. Through challenging, interactive courses, taught by accomplished professors, students learn to make connections across disciplines, understand cultural perspectives, and integrate learning with practical application. Inspired by a Quaker heritage, the Whittier education equips students to be active citizens and effective communicators who embrace diversity and act with integrity. Today, while no longer formally associated with the Quaker Society of Friends, students of all denominations make up our welcoming multicultural community and the College's roots in Quaker values are still very much in evidence. Respect for the individual, commitment to a diverse student body and faculty, freedom of conscience, and respect for human differences are in evidence in every classroom, laboratory, and all across campus.

It was a very small college for the years that I have attended. I love that the professor was able to get to know their students for who they were rather than a number on their roll sheet. Since it was a small school, I got a great sense of community.
Like most colleges, the food at the dining hall was okay. I would suggest getting the least amount of meals possible in your meal plan so you can try the many mom-and-pop restaurants around the city.
I like how small it is. It helps build a close relationship with your mentors and peers
So far so good. The library bathrooms aren’t that great.
