I think UND is a great place to go if you are looking for a strong academic experience for a reasonable price. This is a fairly large state school with plenty of amazing opportunities to pursue. With that in mind, the weather here can be brutal, especially in the winter.
The weather here in the winter is brutal and can have a large impact on you
i like that it offers its engineering program fully online
i don’t like that the engineering program can’t be covered with my military tuition assistance
UND has a great building layout when it comes to the class buildings and it is being extensively renovated. Most of the professors and advisors are easy to talk to and approachable. The student organizations are great and the student life is great. Hockey is a huge part of weekend life and UND is full of people who are proud to represent the college.
The department politics among the professors aren't well hidden so students are aware of it. Some of the buildings are very outdated and the engineering buildings lack women's bathrooms. The chemistry department is not well run. The parking department is more than happy to give tickets all the time.
UND overall has been a very enjoyable experience. The level of professionalism in almost every department is something I personally find important. I recommend!
The availability of flight instructors, especially in the upper flight courses decreases. Also, there are many days, weeks, or even months of no flying simply because ND chooses to express itself by having all the seasons in a short timeframe, whenever.
At UND the classes are generally taught very well, and most professors keep the class relatively interesting. Overall, it is a very nice campus, just be ready for winter.
Be ready for winter, it is pretty cold here at UND.
UND has been great!! The school and my advisors have helped me be successful and are always available when help is needed. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to go to this university.
Nothing from my experience has been bad so far.
