America is home to many immigrants who fuel our nation’s growth and development.
In 2018, more than 63% of foreign-born adults were employed compared to about 60% of native adults, among them brilliant thinkers, inventors, innovators, and incredibly hard-working individuals.
Despite this, immigrants are often targeted or stigmatized, creating a divide between those born abroad and those born in the country. To remove societal barriers and provide immigrants with equal means to succeed, there must be continuous discussion and distinct opportunities for immigrants all over the country.
To contribute, the WiseGeek Recent Immigrants Scholarship will support a recent immigrant who has big aspirations for their future in the United States.
This scholarship is open to all students in any field of study who immigrated to the United States on or after January 1, 2010 and plans to live & work here.
The application deadline is Sep 1, 2021. Winners will be announced on Sep 21, 2021.

We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
We will send the award check to the financial aid office of the winner’s academic institution or future academic institution in their name, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school’s requirements). If the student's academic institution does not have a financial aid office, the student will receive the funding directly.
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to verify their academic enrollment status by providing a copy of their most recent transcript.
