Katelynn Berry passed away at the age of twenty-six after a tough battle with mental illness and addiction.
Higher education already comes with many responsibilities and difficulties, but is far more difficult for those battling addiction or mental illness. Illnesses and prescribed medication can affect energy levels, concentration, psychological well-being, and one’s ability to hold a job.
This scholarship aims to honor the life of Katelynn Berry by spreading awareness about the threat posed by mental illnesses and addiction.
