UCSD is a more science focused school so if you're looking to study other majors I wouldn't highly recommend it but it is accommodating to all majors.
dorm renovations
I loved being at UCSD! It's a very rigorous school with top-notch professors, great food, and a great social life. The only thing is the campus gets sad and dismal when it's final and you can cut the tension with a knife as the students are very studious and sometimes intense. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at UCSD!
Some of the CAPS professionals were racist and discriminatory and I didn't like that. I was in mental health distress and was handcuffed.
The quarter system is a bit hard to get used to, and I dislike it a lot. But it has been a positive experience since I got lucky with my suitemates. An easy way to make friends is to join organizations, and there are a lot of good ones on campus. The Professors overall are very kind and care about you.
The quarter system.
I really liked the setting/location since it's near the beach. I also really liked how it looked in comparison to other schools.
I don’t like that there’s no variety of food.
I like the environment we are in and that it is close to the beach.
So far the amount of walking lol
UCSD has a lot of resources; you just need to find them and reach out to them. Many organizations are available to feel inclusive in the community.
It is a bit difficult to find a social life if you do not get out of your dorm. You have to really reach out and try your best in integrating yourself among others!
