SBCC offers an excellent education for many reasons; the faculty is top-notch and you get one on one attention as long as you make the effort to reach out and show your commitment. I attended mostly online due to the pandemic, however, I enjoyed the zoom presentations and I learned so much from the group presentations. I was able to attend for free with the Promise Program, which offers local students the opportunity to attend, receiving free tuition and books for two years. I am honored to have had this opportunity. It was a life-changing experience for me and I will take what I have learned to work towards my BA, then MA/Ph.D.
I can’t say anything negative about my experience - It was the pandemic that made it impossible to be on campus- that was Really disappointing at first, but I made the most of it.
Teachers were communicative and passionate, coursework was manageable even for someone who works full time, staff was friendly and helpful.
Sometimes getting in touch with advisors was difficult
Best decisions I’ve made regarding my education. The academics are great and the people you meet along the way are even amazing.
Don’t get too caught up in the social aspect of the school. Make sure you’re balanced and getting your work done.
Santa Barbara City College is an amazing college with a beautiful campus. Especially as an international student I found the place very warm and welcoming and found out that there are actually a lot more international students than I thought. The location of the campus is amazing, which is directly across from the beach and also close to downtown. The professors are great and want you to succeed.
Honestly not much. The only thing I found about Santa Barbara is that housing is expensive.
Besides the view of the ocean while you study, the professors are amazing and passionate. The students you meet in class are also from different backgrounds and it's a great way to understand everyone's experiences.
As far, I have not had any bad experiences. I loved being a student here.
I like the view of Santa Barbara City College. The staff really tries their best to give even junior college students a chance at a social life.
Some staff was rude or not understanding, but this was a rare occurrence.
