100% of students
I like the online courses that allow for students to see each other’s assignments to comment on them - feels like being in a real class; we get to know each other pretty well
Not enough finances available for my bills.
Kirkwood Community College is a smaller college than most. It's all very close together within walking distance. They try to help the climate with wind power and more so they can provide cheaper tuition costs to their students. Staff and students are very friendly and small campus life is actually very helpful for me with anxiety. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to walk across campus and during the warmer months there are many outdoor events and places to study. The bookstore and library are located in the center of campus and all the classrooms are easy to find. The dorms are more like apartments that students can rent out for a very good deal, they are clean and taken care of. You can have two to four roommates in certain apartments across campus. The buildings are mostly separated into categories that make it easier to find different classes. I really do recommend Kirkwood if you are looking for a small, affordable school to attend.
I really haven't had many bad experiences with Kirkwood, some textbooks are hard to get if the professor has a unique book that is made for the class but other than that, it's not too bad. Currently (as of 2021-2022) there is construction occurring, but it hasn't bothered us much except for some sound things, which didn't last long and weren't really bad. Construction will be done around fall 2023.
I like how much the professors care about the students
There is a lot of crime in the area especially right outside campus and not a lot done by campus to help with it
