I like the smallness of the University. Because it is a fairly small school, the classes are also just as small (averaging 11 per class). This gives the professors time to get to know you personally and how best to help you if you give them to chance to get to know you. Also, when you are looking for opportunities to get to know others on the campus and do things with others, the school is great. My one warning is not to expect people to come up to you in flocks. You may have to put yourself out there in order to find friends and comrades, but that is the same at any college campus.
It can get cold on campus. It is at the top of a mountain in northeast Pennsylvania, so the weather is not always in your favor. The classrooms can be a little bit cold from time to time, the building is old so the windows are drafty. Communication is not always the greatest, so you may have to go looking for information if you think it is important, but it is not easy to find.
The education there is great. You have to dig a little bit to get to the academically rigorous exercises, but once you're there it is a close-knit community of students devoted to the academy, higher learning, the Bible, and each other.
The community is great. People will tell you that all the time. However, the great community is the community you make. You have to be intentional about developing it and creating deeper relationships. Fortunately, it is a small school, so you get to know or at least recognize everyone on campus.
Strong student community and student-teacher availability. If I were to recommend any school for students who want to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually I would recommend CSU. Everyone from the students to the staff care for you and the safe campus and beautiful environment is a huge plus!
Everyone has different ideas, which is a good thing, just be ready to start thinking for yourself to see where you stand. With a ton of different ideas in today's culture being able to think freely is important, just remember that this is the case at every school you will apply to.
