I liked how simple it is to attend and get what you need done. I made many friends while attending and enjoyed every minute of it.
The food selection wasn’t the best during covid they usually have a student-run cafe but had to close.
Cerritos College has many programs for students of all walks of life where we can be accepted and find community. I suggest for all my friends not currently attending school attend Cerritos College to get connected.
I wish the administration was more helpful to students and didn't make students jump through hoops to fix a problem whether through financial aid or with courses that were started by the departments.
The professors I took were pretty down-to-earth, accessible, and caring to their students; that much is shown through the level of intoxicating enthusiasm they have for their teaching subject. Dr. Solomon Namala, my economics professor, for instance, showed a propensity of breaking down otherwise complex material into something digestible.
That it is a community college that just so happens to provide major resources and opportunities to those students who need them. I appreciate the staff members and faculty for the knowledge they have given me. I have only started but I learned so much in one semester. I am excited about what the future might bring in my endeavors with this academic institution.
Cerritos college is very organized. The professors tell you what you need to do. There is no guessing game. They are willing to hybrid classes which help with gas and time for busy students, or students who live further away.
Don’t procrastinate.
