It’s a great way to save money while taking either major courses or gen ed courses.
Some of the professors could work on upgrading lesson plans. Other than that, the courses are smooth and easygoing.
I liked the idea that a lot of the general courses for a variety of degrees can be completed here. Would highly recommend being wise with the financial aid given here, you can rack up the credits quickly and use up extremely fast if you aren’t careful. Overall the atmosphere and counselors provided a wonderful experience thus far and would recommend it to anyone who is wanting the general courses out of the way early on.
I didn’t like how some professors wouldn’t budge on extensions or waive some assignments during personal situations. I understand they have a class to run and have probably heard it before, but overall this was the only thing I didn’t like about Bakersfield college.
The staff was very helpful and the courses were easy to navigate through.
The amount of construction their doing.
I liked that it is easy to get into and easy to transfer out. Perfect for first-time college students.
I did not like some professors but that is not something that can change. It can happen.
I liked that Bakersfield college was small but that was also a downside. Bakersfield college doesn’t have many degree options and I would love for them to dabble in the arts more.
I think prospective students should be aware of due dates for signing up for classes because they fill up fast.
What I liked about Bakersfield college is how dedicated professors are to helping you out and the many resources available for you to succeed.
They need a little bit more variety on when classes are offered and more online courses
