Nurses are the backbone of the US healthcare system. They work the front lines in hospitals, nursing homes, home care and clinics, providing critical care to those who need it. Unfortunately, Hawaii is currently experiencing an extreme shortage of qualified nurses and certified nursing assistants. Yet as the global pandemic has demonstrated, the role of nursing has never been more important. The goal of this scholarship fund is to provide educational financial assistance to as many Hawaii Residents as possible that are pursuing their certified nursing assistant certification, practical nurse license and registered nurse license. 100% of the donations will go to qualified applicants to pursue education in Hawaii and care for our local residents, veterans and kupuna that so desperately need their assistance.
