WHAT I LIKED

The programs and classes that align with them are well planned and allow real learning to happen. The advising department has super organized systems that help students understand their paths and plans to complete their degrees from the beginning. Right away, first semester of freshman year, I knew which classes I would take in each of my semesters. Also, after completing concurrent enrollment in high school through CU Denver and Front Range Community College, I transferred over 30 college credits to UNC and they were all accepted into the university and applied to my major. The UNC General scholarship application is super easy to find and apply for.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

This is a hard question as I lived on campus fall of 2020, right in the middle of COVID. Nothing comes to mind other than things that had to happen due to COIVID, and the university was doing all it could with the resources it had.

WHAT I LIKED

UNC was a great school for me. The size of the campus was perfect, not too huge and not too small. It was a good distance from home and it was an easy decision to go there with the great programs they have to offer for teachers.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

COVID's response was not great at times, especially in the dining halls. I stopped eating at them all together because it wasn't safe to be in there.

WHAT I LIKED

The University of Nothern Colorado is located along the main street downtown of Greeley, CO. The street is home to many shops, stores, restaurants, art, etc. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, it's like a second home to me. The teachers strive to make sure we pursue a career we strive for. And for that, I'm extremely grateful. It's amazing.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

There was a theft not that long ago at the University. Nothing can be perfect or 100%. Instead of saying the bad, I'll just the advice that even if it's in-state or out-of-state, be careful.

They have a wonderful program that helps students with intellectual disabilities to succeed in not only academics but socially throughout the school. Vocationally they help prepare you for the employment role and find a great fit for your area of study.
