WHAT I LIKED

What I did like was the people that I met and got to know at this school. There will be some memories that I will look back on with fondness.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

The campus is not what I expected, it is difficult to get to some class buildings and the way around can be difficult. The only place to get a meal at the moment is the dining canter. The food court, which used to be another option to get food, is closed down until further notice. The school likes to boast that everything is connected by tunnels, but the health service building is not connected, neither is the building that is typically the music building nor is any of the apartments. Many times when I asked for help from professors I did not receive the help that I asked for.

WHAT I LIKED

UMD has been an amazing school to attend. The buildings are connected by underground tunnels to allow quick and easy access to other buildings without ever really needing to go outside in the cold winters. The view of the lake never gets old from the campus, and the buildings are great but can be pretty confusing to navigate at first.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

The only downside I feel is the cold winters. Though living close to a lake is awesome, there's always going to be a lake effect that blows across the campus, making it colder than it usually may be. I'm not one for the cold, but this is what I get for going further north.

WHAT I LIKED

If you love nature and a slower-paced living environment, Duluth is totally for you!

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

I always like things to do, so Duluth wasn’t for me because there’s not much going on a lot of the time. It wasn’t necessarily the school, it was more the city.

WHAT I LIKED

If you don't like the cold you don't have to go outdoors but if you do then you can, everything is connected and it's nice out in the fall and spring.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

The dining center is out of stuff a lot and there aren't washing machines near my dorm so I have to walk ways.

WHAT I LIKED

Yeah, the campus is cool, but the town of Duluth in general has so much to offer! Moving here was a great decision.

WHAT I didn’t LIKE

There is no AC in the dorms, so August and September were very warm. This was a big negative.
