Our Financial Aid Department helps students find and interview for on- or off-campus work study jobs. They are very knowledgeable and happy to help you find a job that works with your schedule!

Our Office of Student Experience works hard to create lots of opportunities for incoming students to "find their people" within our small, welcoming on-campus environment. Student organizations like our sororities and fraternities also host "get-to-know-you" events. Our student ministry also hosts weekly FreshCo (Freshman Council) meetings that give incoming students a place to meet each other, upperclassmen, and to voice their ideas.

Because we are a private university (not state- or federally-funded), we are able to offer the same tuition costs to out-of-state students that we offer to in-state students!

If your high school GPA and class rank meet our test-optional admission standards, yes, you can be admitted without the need to submit standardized test scores (ACT, SAT, CLT)! If your GPA and class rank do not meet the test-optional standards, you can take/retake SAT or ACT, or even try the online option for CLT test. HPU also uses a "SuperScore" system--we use the highest section score from each of your test attempts & add those best scores together to create your final composite score we use for admission. We work in your best interest!
