I like the education experience at city college because the teachers are passionate in the subjects and so far they are helpful and chill. The advisors are okay, you have to prepare on what you want need and reach them out as many times as you can; if one doesn’t reach out don’t be afraid to get another! I recommend this college for anyone who want to get a good education for an affordable price!
I didn’t like how some of the advisors don’t respond to my emails and don’t tell me important stuff like holds that I needed to be aware of and etc. Also, some of the classes need repair and the elevators/escalators don’t work sometimes.
So far, I think City College provides a fair balance of desires applicants might have, such as a strong social life, financial aid, and decent academic teaching.
Education is not top tier, services and functionality across the buildings are not consistent, like elevators and website services.
I like the campus and I like the education in Music.
Social life is not that great, they don't really care about international students, and food availability (especially for someone like me who is vegan) is not great.
My experience at CUNY City College was one-of-a-kind! It had a diverse student body, supportive faculty, and great academia.
Proximity to home.
I like the architecture, it's a lovely campus. I like the library it's big and a great place to study. and also the community is safe, and not confusing to navigate around.
One thing I don't like about City College is the availability of classes. I work full time so I don't have the option to take some classes in the evening or online. for example, I need organic chemistry but they only have one section which starts at 9 am. I don't know how I can attend this course if I'm working in the mornings I can't quit my job I have financial responsibility
The school is beautiful, get the chance to explore and meet people. Do not be afraid to put yourself out there.
Be aware of your surroundings and email scams.
