The University of Michigan-Flint offers various degrees on a smaller campus as an alternative to the Ann Arbor campus. Classrooms tend to have a lower student count allowing students to get a more 1 on 1 level of education. Although the campus is smaller an abundance of resources are available to students.
Be aware of new policies continually changing. During my time on campus course structure and pre-requisite classes have changed which can alter graduation dates.
Small community but lots of time to get to know each other.
It's hard to feel like you're not missing out on the "college experience".
There are many study spaces with different noise levels so there is always a place to concentrate and get things done. Most professors are amazing and involved. My academic advisor is wonderful and incredibly helpful.
A couple of professors made learning hard but I did not notice until too late in the semester to drop the courses. Just look up the professors before taking their classes and you will be okay.
