SLU offers unique programs with very knowledgeable professors.
It’s expensive; it’s a much better financial decision to take introductory courses at a community college and already be decided on a program before transferring to SLU.
Before SLU I was very overwhelmed with the idea of pursuing higher education. SLU completely took away any doubt. The professors and other staff are behind you 100% and are devoted to making sure you succeed in your studies. It is also a great campus for making lifelong friends and networking!
Honestly, the only thing that comes to mind is difficulty finding parking. The academics are spectacular!
It's a small but also big campus, it has free transportation to and from the north and south campuses. They also have a weekend shopping shuttle on Saturdays which is cool.
Almost everything. I get food poisoning a few times a month, the water tastes gross. There is always something going on that will affect people's mental health. It may be a safe campus but there are shootings that happen just on the other side of the road a lot. Crappy experience for international students especially from Canada because no one believes it.
The kindness of everyone there.
The price.
