Leroy and Naomi Baker were beloved grandparents and were community organizers in their small town.

They always met with lawmakers to ensure that their community members had access to food, education, working polls, and other necessities. Through their work, Leroy and Naomi touched the lives of every community resident.

This scholarship seeks to support students in the southern region of the US who are active volunteers in their communities.

Any Black undergraduate student in Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Alabama, Louisiana, South Carolina or North Carolina who’s studying criminal justice, political science, or public service and is active in volunteering in their community may apply for this scholarship.
