Northwest has some decent teachers and a nice library. That's all the good things I have to say.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
Northwest Missouri State University advertises a Nursing Program which they do not have. The school will also take any excuse to charge you fees, including fees for damage done to your dorm before you were there, in hopes that you won't question it and just pay up.
Overall a very shady school that only cares about money, and doesn't care about the well-being of its students.
There are also some accessibility issues.
The professors are all Ph.D.’d and mostly tenured in the political science department, you will learn a lot by attending these classes taught by experience. The dorms vary in quality, but you’ll meet some individuals you’ll never forget about while staying in them. The food in the student union varies but there is enough variety that it shouldn’t be too hard to find something enjoyable. The campus also has a Mooyah burger restaurant that is a little pricey but makes a good trip for using the weekly meal.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
Often times the students that struggle the most were the ones that fell into bad crowds, just be careful to who you can open up to.
Northwest gives the feel of a big school but in small town makes it feel like everyone is connected. The School is covered with trees that any student can find a nice shady spot to relax if they want and the teachers here actually want to talk to their students outside of class which helps builds a good relationship during your four years here.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
I wish their was one more option for food on campus but other than that the food is fine you also have options in town.
It's a quite little town, but the campus has a really good sense of community, and everyone here is very nice and willing to help if you need it. All of my professors are extremely supportive and they're all incredibly well-versed in their fields of study.
WHAT I didn’t LIKE
The campus can be rough during the winters, especially after snow storms and ice storms. Make sure you bring plenty of warm clothing and a pair of boots with good traction.
