Metropolitan Community College is a great start for those unsure about college and those who aren't mentally ready to attend a university. Having a lot of flexibility with scheduling is a huge benefit. The teachers work with you on a personal level to those who need it. The college has many clubs you can join and they have a lot of cultural and educational events you can attend.
I wish the college had better ways to include first year students. More events and clubs to help them learn the ropes.
It truly felt that your goal was education, and every professor, tutor, or employee wanted you to succeed. I knew that I was getting the best education at the best price.
There wasn't a ton of help in terms of choosing the best courses.
overall, I am glad I got my two-year degree at Metro. It has allowed me to figure out my passions and apply to schools I would not have if I applied right out of high school
Not much of a social scene, mostly just a learning-based school.
You don't complicate your life with paperwork. It goes step by step. Also, there are a lot of resources available for students.
Some teachers are careless with students.
There are passionate people ready to learn at the metro. You have to commit to what you want to get out of the experience.
