Teria Onwuaduegbo was a beloved daughter and sister who tragically passed away at a young age but managed to inspire her family and loved ones in her short life.

Teria studied mathematics at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis. Many young women share Teria’s passion for STEM and follow in her footsteps by enrolling in STEM-based academic programs. Unfortunately, women are a minority in STEM-focused classrooms, extracurriculars, and professions. Black women, at the intersection of both racial and gender-based discrimination, are particularly underrepresented.

This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Teria Onwuaduegbo by encouraging women to follow in her footsteps and tackle their dreams regardless of the obstacles in front of them.

Any Black female undergraduate student who is pursuing computer science, mathematics, or engineering may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
