Financial literacy is one of the most important tools we can give the next generation, helping them set the stage for successful lives.

Many young people enter adulthood without the knowledge or confidence necessary to manage their money. Whether it’s understanding credit, budgeting, or long-term planning, these are skills that can completely change the trajectory of someone’s life. Individuals, families, and small business owners can experience significant real consequences from financial illiteracy. Education in this area can prevent disasters or challenges before they begin.

This scholarship aims to promote financial literacy while encouraging students to become advocates for financial literacy in their own communities, creating a ripple effect that empowers future generations. The scholarship will be awarded on August 14, National Finance Awareness Day.

Any high school senior who will pursue a two or four-year degree in business, finance, economics, education, or communications may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they are involved in leadership, community service, or volunteer work. Applicants must also demonstrate an interest in promoting financial literacy as well as a clear vision for how they will use their education and experiences to make a positive impact. They should show strong character, including integrity, responsibility, and a commitment to personal and professional growth.

To apply, tell us what changes you would like to see in financial education for young people. Additionally, submit a short video of thirty to sixty seconds in the style of a “Financial Tip Friday.” This initiative is designed to amplify financial literacy by sharing real voices and real advice from the next generation. Submit a link to your video as a public YouTube link or a Google Drive link. Settings should be set to "public" or "anyone with the link can view." If we can't access your video, your application won't be considered.
