Jason Choi was a beloved husband and father who sadly passed away too soon, but lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Jason had a passion and talent for music, particularly for the acoustic guitar. He impressively learned guitar on his own and continually strived to hone his skills to become the best guitarist he could be. Jason owned many guitars and loved the pursuit of finding the perfect custom-made one. He attended guitar festivals and could talk shop for hours on end. Jason also enjoyed serving God with his skills and being a praise leader in the church. He sought to honor God and lead people in worship with lyrics rich in the gospel of Jesus.
This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Jason Choi by supporting students who share his passion for guitar and for faith.
Any high school senior with at least a 3.0 GPA living in California may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they have a passion for the acoustic guitar and/or if they have played guitar on the worship team at their church or other Christian organization.
