Mental health

In today’s climate of the stigmatization of mental and physical struggles, it’s crucial to raise awareness, promote understanding, and drive change to improve the lives of people living with mental illness and disabilities.

Through volunteer work, academic research, advocacy campaigns, personal initiatives, and other community contributions, dedicated individuals can become active leaders who forge positive change through empathy, compassion, and resilience.

This scholarship seeks to celebrate and empower young leaders who are championing mental health and disability rights within the Asian American community and beyond.

Any Asian American undergraduate student with volunteering experience may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they’re pursuing a career in the mental health field. Applicants should exemplify advocacy and leadership, be engaged in uplifting mental health and/or disability rights, foster inclusivity, have personal experience with mental health or disability (personally, through one’s family, or through one’s community), think creatively, and maintain a strong academic record.

To apply, tell us why mental health and disability advocacy are so important in the Asian American community and how this scholarship will help you achieve all of your goals. Additionally, upload an image of you helping or upload a school portrait.
