Everyone should be empowered to be their authentic and unapologetic selves through safe spaces, open discussions, and transparent education.
LGBTQ+ individuals are constantly forced to fight for their rights and to endure discrimination, with more than one-third of LGBTQ+ Americans facing discrimination each year. Lately, many in the LGBTQ+ community are worried about attacks on their rights occurring in several states.
This scholarship seeks to encourage and uplift LGBTQ+ individuals so they can lead proud and successful lives.
Any LGBTQ+ high school student graduating in 2022 in Florida with at least a 2.5 GPA may apply for this scholarship.
To apply, tell us how your coming out experience has been able to reveal your true self to your family, friends, or even the world.
A friend of mine told me, "Coming out is about letting people in." How has your experience of coming out to friends or family been able to let people in on who you are and what you represent?
The application deadline is Jun 30, 2022. Winners will be announced on Jul 30, 2022.

The winner will be publicly announced on Jul 30, 2022. Prior to the announcement date, we may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
Award checks will be sent to the financial aid office of the winner's academic institution or future academic institution in their name to be applied to their tuition, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school's requirements). If the award is for a qualified educational non-tuition expense, we will work with the winner directly to distribute the award and make sure it goes towards qualified expenses.
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to confirm their academic enrollment status. Depending on the circumstances, verification of Student ID and/or their most recent transcript will be required.
