School is almost here, and we're celebrating this year with ANOTHER scholarship! It’s time to get yourself into gear and set yourself up for your best year yet.

For the second season of #BackToSchoolBold, we’re looking for your best tips for heading back to school - whether that be high school, college, or the school of life, we’re looking for the best advice you wish you knew before you started school.

In a different fashion than our typical scholarships, we will be selecting 16 finalist entries in the last week of September, but the final winner will be selected by YOU! That’s right - in the first week of October, we will be running a finalist bracket on our Instagram channel, and we want you to select which back-to-school tip should earn the prize. It’s time to share your wisdom!

We are so excited to see what you come up with - you’ve got this!

Key Voting Dates (make sure you follow us on Instagram!):

  • Sweet 16 = Tuesday, October 4
  • Elite 8 = Wednesday, October 5
  • Final Four = Thursday, October 6
  • Championship = Friday, October 7
  • Winner Announced = Monday, October 10

Back to school means back to scholarships. (Apply today at bold.org!)

My best back-to-school tip is understanding that you will make mistakes, miss assignments, and even fail a test. However, the best advice I could give is to keep moving forward. In Eric Thomas' book "The Secret of Success" he mentions that a setback can be a good position for a comeback. Learn from your mistakes, what works for you, and how to progress for the future. Now with all of this said, many would believe that they have to take on the burden of learning from their mistakes by themselves. I can confidently assure you that this isn't the case. There are many support outlets and people that could be in your inner circle that you can rely on and seek guidance from. Many people regret not relying on others for help because they were embarrassed or too afraid to ask. However, those people want the best for you and your education and I can guarantee it will lift the stress off your shoulders. My Instagram @: bereket.denslow
