Currently, I am receiving very little financial support for my future education. Like many students in Athens County, I come from a poor family. I have a single mom who works two jobs and two younger siblings who are always in need of something, never doing much around the house. My dad, who is a fully disabled veteran and doesn't offer much financial help, has partial custody of my brother and I, with us only seeing him on the weekends. Although I can assume that my parents and grandparents will be willing to help as much as they can, scholarships and loans are the only way I will truly be able to afford my schooling. I plan on attending a four-year institution, which can be extremely expensive for people like me. I am grateful for opportunities like this as they give us who do not have much, a chance to better our lives in the future. This scholarship will be extremely helpful in covering the costs of my books, housing, and meal plan.

My adoptive parents will be able to contribute to my financial aid, and I have a small savings account that I intend to use for room and board. Being adopted as a teenager, my parents haven't had a lot of time to save enough money to make a significant impact on the overall cost of college. If I were to be selected as a scholarship winner, the money would go towards class fees and tuition. This scholarship would make a significant difference in my ability to pursue my degree and afford the other necessities that come with an outdoor-focused education.

I am receiving financial support from my parents and scholarships to pursue my academic goals. I am attending the University of Findlay for the animal science program, so if I am selected as a scholarship winner, I will use the funds to help cover a portion of the tuition costs. I plan to attend a four-year grad school college afterwards. These funds will help me pursue my goals to eventually become a veterinarian for small and large animals by helping me attend one of the best animal science programs in the country, ensuring that I will do the best that I can to help animals in the future.

I come from a single-parent household. I live with my father, who works night shifts Monday through Thursday, 40 hours a week. Along with any overtime he can get. Despite this, my dad is unable to support me financially in attending college. I am relying solely on scholarships, grants, and or loans for financial support. I also intend to work during college to help pay for it. If I am lucky enough to win this scholarship, the funds will be used to support my goal of attending college for zoology. The study of animals and their behaviors is a huge passion of mine. I strive to learn as much as I can about them to assist in animal conservation efforts, and overall knowledge of animal species. I intend to do everything in my power to achieve this goal.
