Bio

I want to be just like my grandpa. My grandpa is the breadwinner of my family and is one of the most respected people in my town. He has worked his whole life and has made it his mission to help as many people as possible. I am very enthusiastic about my life goals and my hobbies. My life goal is to become a civil engineer and live a happy comfortable life. My hobbies include music, fishing, and sports, these are what I spend most of my time doing.

Athens County Scholarship by Hot Box Chicken Fingers & Tots
Winner
Currently, I am receiving very little financial support for my future education. Like many students in Athens County, I come from a poor family. I have a single mom who works two jobs and two younger siblings who are always in need of something, never doing much around the house. My dad, who is a fully disabled veteran and doesn't offer much financial help, has partial custody of my brother and I, with us only seeing him on the weekends. Although I can assume that my parents and grandparents will be willing to help as much as they can, scholarships and loans are the only way I will truly be able to afford my schooling. I plan on attending a four-year institution, which can be extremely expensive for people like me. I am grateful for opportunities like this as they give us who do not have much, a chance to better our lives in the future. This scholarship will be extremely helpful in covering the costs of my books, housing, and meal plan.
