Dear Anonymous, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for awarding me the TRAM Panacea Scholarship. It truly means the world to receive your support as I prepare to begin my medical education at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. The assistance from this scholarship helps ease the financial pressure of pursuing my dream and allows me to dedicate my energy more fully to my studies and to serving others. With a background in biomedical engineering and a strong passion for clinical advocacy, I’m determined to help close the gaps in healthcare access that too many underserved communities still face. Your generosity empowers me to continue advancing this mission through research, outreach, and patient-centered care. Knowing that you believe in supporting future healthcare providers is deeply motivating, and I am inspired to make the most of this opportunity in honor of your commitment. Your kindness will have a lasting impact, not only on my journey but, I hope, on the lives of those I strive to serve. Thank you so much! Stay blessed! Thank you, Eustace Ohuakanwa

Dear Anonymous, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for choosing me as a recipient of the TRAM Themis Scholarship. It’s an incredible honor, and I feel sincerely grateful for your belief in my potential. Receiving this scholarship has a profound impact on my law school journey. Your support eases financial worries and lets me focus on preparing for my final year and the start of my legal career. As a rising 3L with a deep commitment to serving others and promoting fairness, I’m eager to use my legal education as a tool for positive change. This scholarship brings me one step closer to becoming an attorney who advocates for those who need it most in my community. Your dedication to uplifting future social justice attorneys truly inspires me. Knowing that someone is invested in my growth motivates me to work even harder and give back to others throughout my career. Thank you for your kindness and for making such a meaningful difference in my life and the lives of students like me. Thank you, Jamie Shaffer

Hello, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for awarding me the TRAM Resilience Scholarship. Receiving this support means a great deal to me, not just as a student, but as someone who's dedicated his life to transforming adversity into positive change. Your belief in students like me is truly empowering. The financial assistance from this scholarship significantly eases the burden of my academic pursuits and allows me to focus fully on my research—work I care deeply about. With your help, I can continue advancing my studies in terrorism prevention and behavioral threat assessment, striving to bridge the gaps between mental health, national security, and public safety. As a U.S. Army veteran and someone who's both experienced and studied trauma, my goal is to leverage my personal journey and academic expertise to develop innovative solutions that foster safer, more resilient communities. This scholarship brings me one step closer to realizing that vision, and your generosity encourages me to keep pushing forward. Thank you for your profound commitment to supporting students who need it most. Your kindness has made a genuine impact on my life, and I hope to honor your investment by using my experiences and education to create meaningful change. Thank you, Dennis Pracht

Good afternoon, I hope this letter finds you well — and maybe even enjoying a good cup of coffee or tea while reading it! I wanted to take a moment (or maybe more than a moment) to say the biggest, most heartfelt thank you for awarding me this scholarship. When I first found out, I actually had to read the email twice because I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me (they do that sometimes). Living with Multiple Hereditary Exostoses (MHE) has been quite a wild ride. Over the past ten years, I’ve had nine surgeries to remove bone growths that seem to pop up like uninvited guests at a party. In just a couple of weeks, I’ll be going in for another big surgery to remove half of my left scapula. It’s a little scary (okay, a lot scary), but I’ve learned that every scar and every surgery has taught me something new about strength, patience, and the importance of really good hospital snacks. There have been plenty of hard days, days when I felt like my body was working against me, and days when I wondered how I’d keep pushing forward. But somehow, I always do — and I think that’s partly because of amazing people and organizations like yours who remind me that I’m not alone. This scholarship is so much more than financial help (though my wallet is definitely doing a happy dance). It’s a huge emotional boost and a reminder that someone out there believes in me and my dreams. Your support lifts such a weight off my shoulders (well, at least the part that will still be there after surgery!). With this scholarship, I feel freer to focus on my studies and to keep moving toward my goals without constantly worrying about finances. I dream of using my experiences to help others someday — maybe through advocacy, writing, or supporting kids who are going through similar medical journeys. Thank you for seeing me, for cheering me on, and for investing in my future. It means more than I can express in words (and that’s saying something because I really love words!). Wishing you all the good things: strong coffee, sunny days, and the joy of knowing you’re making a real difference in people’s lives. With all my gratitude and a big virtual hug, Kristina (Tina) Wisniewski
