The campus responded well to COVID quarantines, by switching all classes to online platforms, providing laptops and other equipment to students, issuing more scholarships and food drives to eligible students, and reducing fees for parking and enrollment.
The classes and curriculum for many programs are not accepted by community colleges or universities in other states, making transfer harder if not in CA.
I have been attending Mesa for two years now, and I am currently in the transition to receive my Associate's Degree for Transfer. I began attending a few months after the COVID-19 Pandemic began, so I only had the option to attend online. The instructors were so understanding and made the online experience much easier. Even though I don't attend Mesa on a full-time basis in person, my overall experience has been amazing. I am also a Veteran, so the Veteran's Department at Mesa is very accommodating and accessible.
I would be aware of communication with the Financial Aid department. It can oftentimes be difficult to contact them when necessary.
