Educators are vital to the success of upcoming generations and the progression of our society.

In all sectors, educators are needed to foster an inclusive environment for students that also manifests a deep love for lifelong learning. Unfortunately, educators’ efforts to encourage their students are not appreciated enough by students or the general public today.

Passionate educators teach not only to help their students understand course material but also to invigorate in their students a love for learning. Intentional curiosity leads to problem-solving, which very often leads to success and development.

The Susy Ruiz Superhero Scholarship is designed to allow students to share their insights about an educator in their life who acted as a superhero and saved them from minimizing their potential in and out of the classroom. This scholarship is open to all high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students.

To apply for this scholarship, please write about an influential teacher, counselor, or social worker that helped you pursue higher education.
