My academic or professional plans after graduation are: to become a mechanic, and eventually make my own business as a mechanic. I want to be a mechanic because I have always had an interest in cars. Whether it's a jeep, a mustang, a low-rider, a Honda, or even a Toyota. I have been interested in cars since I could even spell the word car. I believe your profession chooses you. You don't choose our profession. I say this because everyone has their different interests, and I found mine because of the way it shaped around my life. For example, I've had plenty of car engines blow up on me. My dad used to buy and flip cars. Most of the time they didn't drive smoothly, or at all. I have already been through five cars because of that. I do believe that cars will always be in my life, as they already have been so far. No matter what I've done in my life, I've always needed a car at some point. Whether it ran well or not. Not everything in life is going to be easy, which is why I want to challenge myself to become an automotive mechanic. I know there are plenty of mechanics out there, but I want to be the different one. The affordable, and trustworthy one. I don't want to let anyone down like I was let down or all of those years. My high school experience helped me move into the directions of my dreams because; it helped me truly become the person I am today. High school was easily the four most important years of my life. Everything in high school had shaped me to be very different from who I was when I first walked into my years. One of the electives I took was engineering. In engineering, it had more coding than anything else, but it still made me realize I love cars. I would work on projects involving cars, and how I would make my own business when I was younger. The electives were always around cars, and I even bought some expensive tool sets just to work on cars with my dad. It helped me move towards going to a trade school that I love, even if it's out of state. I don't think I would've went to college if I didn't have all of the wonderful teachers I did. If I didn't have everyone who influenced me during that, or the resources I needed during it I easily wouldn't have ever followed my dreams.
