“Mighty” was a kind-hearted and beloved father who selflessly helped his daughter while she was in nursing school.

Mighty had a generous spirit, helping his daughter to pay off the cost of her tuition and books for nursing school so she could fulfill her dreams of becoming a nurse. Sadly, six weeks before his daughter’s graduation from nursing school, Mighty suddenly passed away. He never got the chance to see his daughter graduate from nursing school despite his helpful efforts.

Mighty naturally had a generous heart when it came to helping people. This scholarship aims to reflect Mighty’s generous heart and passion for education by supporting nursing students and easing the financial cost of nursing school.

Any African/African American student who attends a two or four-year undergraduate institution is currently in a nursing program, and has at least a 2.8 GPA may apply for this scholarship.

To apply, please answer the following prompts: Tell us what inspired you to pursue a nursing career. If you had the opportunity to create something fun to make the world a better place, what would it be and why?
