Light up a Room like Maddy Scholarship
Madison Zale was a beloved daughter who passed away too soon and left a hole in her community.
Madison struggled with mental illness in her life but was able to find moments of happiness. She had many friends and family who loved her but there were some in her life that took advantage of her and her loving spirit. Maddy was a trusting, young woman and as a result, fell in with some untrustworthy people who supplied her with drugs, primarily marijuana. Maddy fell prey to these individuals and accidentally and unknowingly overdosed on fentanyl. This is a horrible, scary drug and the individual(s) that harmed Maddy were never brought to justice.
This scholarship aims to honor the life of Madison Zale by supporting students who are pursuing a degree in criminal justice and who have a similar experience with fentanyl and are seeking to find a solution.
Any high school or undergraduate student who is a criminal justice major and has been impacted by drugs or fentanyl may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
To apply, tell us how drugs or fentanyl has affected you or your family and how you are working towards a solution through your criminal justice degree.
