Dounya Discala Scholarship
Women have made great strides in higher education, now making up more than half of students on most college campuses.
However, women still face many challenges in both academics and the workforce, requiring them to overcome many obstacles that their male counterparts may not. It takes drive and work ethic to thrive in face of all of the trials presented by college.
This scholarship seeks to support women who demonstrate tenacity, determination, and positivity as they pursue their college degrees.
Any female high school, undergraduate, or graduate student who has overcome adversity may apply for this scholarship.
To apply, tell us about a time when you exhibited tenacity, what challenge you faced, how you persevered, and what the experience taught you.
In your essay, discuss a time when you demonstrated tenacity. What was the challenge you faced? How did you persevere? What did you learn from the experience?
