Della Fleetwood-Sherrod left an incredible legacy of humanitarianism.

Her community service and concern for the well-being of those around her is inspiring. She has a deep compassion for others that was without discrimination. The Della Fleetwood-Sherrod Humanitarian Scholarship seeks to continue this legacy by recognizing students who demonstrate the same humanitarian passion for their community. This scholarship will provide financial assistance to an individual of color seeking to enroll in a post-secondary educational institution, training program, or trade school. This individual should exemplify a spirit of goodwill, volunteerism, and humanitarianism.

Low-income, BIPOC students living in North Carolina with a high school diploma or GED, and who seek to further their education are eligible to apply if they embody compassion and humanitarianism.
