Brynn Elliott "Tell Me I’m Pretty" Scholarship
I wrote "Tell Me I’m Pretty" because I feel so deeply the pressure that social media has put on women to live up to unrealistic standards of beauty. I wanted to write a song of inspiration to myself and to you that WHO YOU ARE is what makes you beautiful.
I wanted to do this scholarship to encourage and empower women in WHATEVER they choose to set their mind and hearts to because I truly believe that what we do in this life and how we live is our access point to beauty. It could be going to school, starting a small business or creating art. Humans living out their purpose and dreams is what it's all about. This scholarship is specifically for women because I know how much the women in my life have inspired and encouraged me to do that to which I am called. I would love to do the same for other women.
The prompt for this scholarship goes along with that theme. I want to hear about the women who have inspired you. There is power in our stories and there is so much power in reflecting on how those around us who have touched and empowered us.
I cannot wait to read your stories.
All my love,
BE xx
