Bio-Rad Washington Scholarship

The Bio-Rad Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to deserving, graduating high school students who wish to pursue careers in science or engineering. Applications are evaluated based on students’ personal connection to science and engineering; the originality, clarity, and persuasiveness of their answers to essay questions; and their personal alignment with Bio-Rad’s mission and values. Bio-Rad's values include Focused, Accountable, Sustainable, and Together.
This scholarship aims to support students who are preparing to graduate from high school and pursue higher education.
Any graduating, college-bound high school senior who is pursuing engineering or science with at least a 3.0 GPA may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they attend Skyline High School, Sammamish, WA, Eastlake High School, Sammamish, WA, Redmond High School, Redmond, WA, Woodinville, High School, Woodinville, WA, Bothell High School, Bothell, WA, Cedarcrest High School, Duvall, WA, Lake Washington High School, Kirkland, WA, Interlake High School, Bellevue, WA, Juanita High School, Kirkland, WA, or Inglemoor, Kenmore, WA. Please note: Dependents of Bio-Rad employees should apply to the Bio-Rad Employee Dependent Scholarship instead of this opportunity.

Bio-Rad may award additional scholarship awards per location based on the pool of qualified applicants, up to an additional $30,000 for the 2026 cycle.

The winner will be publicly announced on Jul 6, 2026. Prior to the announcement date, we may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
Award checks will be sent to the financial aid office of the winner's academic institution or future academic institution in their name to be applied to their tuition, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school's requirements). If the award is for a qualified educational non-tuition expense, we will work with the winner directly to distribute the award and make sure it goes towards qualified expenses.
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to confirm their academic enrollment status. Depending on the circumstances, verification of Student ID and/or their most recent transcript will be required.
