SAN FRANCISCO (2026) - Bold.org, the scholarship platform committed to fighting student debt through philanthropy, is proud to continue its partnership with Social Change Fund United (SCFU) for a fifth year on Bold.org with a new $40,000 scholarship for HBCU business students. The organization’s co-founders Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and Dwyane Wade, along with executive council members Natasha Cloud, CJ McCollum, and Candace Parker have now supported 18 students through Bold.org and awarded more than $90,000 in total. This new scholarship will award $5,000 each to eight students pursuing business-related degrees at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
SCFU was created to support critical issues impacting under-resourced communities through policy solutions, economic empowerment, and narrative change. Over five years of partnership on Bold.org, Social Change Fund United has invested in students pursuing careers in mental health and business, helping expand access to education and opportunity. This year's scholarship builds on that momentum by supporting HBCU students who are preparing to lead in business, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, and related fields.
That impact is already visible in the students the scholarship has supported. 2025 scholarship recipient Draia Shelton (Howard University) wrote, "This scholarship brings me one step closer to my dream of building a media production company that amplifies diverse voices through film, television, and music."
Bold.org CEO and Founder Dror Liebenthal shares:
"We are proud to celebrate a fifth year of partnership with Social Change Fund United on Bold.org. Together, we have already helped 18 students access more than $90,000 in funding, and this new scholarship continues that investment in HBCU students who are preparing to build businesses, create jobs, and expand opportunity in their communities."
