Social Change Fund United Launch $25,000 Scholarship for HBCU Business Students on Bold.org

NBA stars create scholarships on Bold.org to empower Black students at HBCUs pursuing business degrees

SAN FRANCISCO (SEPT 26, 2024) – Bold.org, the scholarship platform committed to fighting student debt through philanthropy, continues its mission of impact with a new $25,000 scholarship in partnership with the Social Change Fund United, founded by NBA stars Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and Dwyane Wade. Now in its third year, the $25,000 Social Change Fund United Scholarship will be awarded to five students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities, each pursuing business-related degrees. Each student will receive $5,000 to support their education.

Social Change Fund United was created in 2020 by philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and NBA superstars Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and Dwyane Wade to address critical issues impacting the Black community. Through its partnerships and investments, the organization advocates for communities of color through policy solutions, economic empowerment, and narrative change. 

NBA star Chris Paul shared his excitement about the new scholarship:

“We are thrilled to support HBCU students who are pursuing business and entrepreneurship career paths. By empowering the next generation of leaders, Social Change Fund United aims to drive lasting economic and social change in our communities."

Scholarship Details

The Social Change Fund United Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled at HBCUs and pursuing business-related majors. To apply, students must submit an essay describing their vision for how business innovation and economic empowerment can drive social change in the Black community.
