Our story

The Tyra-Ochoa family knows that losing a loved one is devastating and can make it hard to keep going. In memory of Sammy Ochoa, who passed away from cancer in September of 2020 and Vanessa, who tragically passed away in a car accident at the age of ten, the Tyra-Ochoa family has funded multiple scholarships since June 2021.

Our goal

The Tyra-Ochoa family's goal is to help students bounce back from life’s challenges while having unwavering faith like Sammy Ochoa and pure kindness like Vanessa Tyra!
