Our goal
My parents had nine children, and worked hard for everything they had in life. They weren’t rich with material things, but money doesn’t compare to the type of people they were. My father led his family spiritually, and we attended Hope Memorial Christian Church, where my dad was a deacon. He attended Jacksonville State University for a bachelor’s degree in Automotive Mechanics (he loved fast cars!) He was also a successful business owner. The two things my father loved most in this world were Jesus Christ, and his family! He loved to talk about his kids, he was so proud of all of his children and their success- from sons that went into building construction or mechanics, to daughters that became RNs and a teacher.
I want to keep his memory alive by helping at least one high school student, who is a Christian, every year from one of our county schools, in Randolph County, Alabama who is pursing a degree in Automotive/Mechanics, Nursing, or Teaching. He was the one who always believed in me, the one who always had my back no matter what, and I want to encourage and help a young student like my dad encouraged and believed in me.
