Jacques Borges Memorial Scholarship Fund

Mona Lisa Lysinger has been fighting student debt in honor of her father since February 2021. Jacques Borges devoted his life to helping the Haitian community and acting as a mentor to younger Haitian students. He helped pave the way for the upward mobility of students in his community. His passion for giving back led him to become a civil engineer. He wanted to find solutions to the problems he saw in the world and didn’t rest until he saw a tangible change in his community. Jacques helped everyone, regardless of their background. To honor his legacy, Mona has created a scholarship fund to benefit future civil engineers.
