Kristina Lash Memorial Scholarship Fund

My sister-in-law died in August due to aggressive breast cancer at the age of 49. She was a nurse (RN) at our local hospital and being a nurse was more than her profession - it was her calling. Prior to becoming a nurse, she was an athletic trainer and a teacher. She enjoyed her work, but felt like she was called to become a nurse and in her 40s, she decided to go back to school to become a nurse. It truly was her professional home. She formed special bonds with other nurses she worked with and they really were her tribe. She also connected with her patients and their families. She brought humor and joy to her work, was intelligent and was a dedicated nurse who loved her job. We want to create a scholarship that helps other students pursuing nursing fund their education.
