Our story
The Flicka Alvarado Legacy Scholarship was created to honor the life and legacy of Hector “Flicka” Alvarado - a man whose generosity, humility, loyalty, and love for others left a lasting mark on the community he loved so deeply. Proudly rooted in Douglas, AZ, Flicka believed in people, welcomed everyone like family, and quietly made a difference in countless lives.
Our goal
This scholarship will support graduates from Douglas High school who reflect those same values through community involvement, resilience, leadership, and hometown pride. Through the support of donors, the scholarship will help future students pursue their educational goals while carrying forward Flicka’s legacy.
